Generally speaking, TPE casters are more wear-resistant than rubber casters.

TPE is a thermoplastic elastomer, combining the high elasticity of rubber with the processability of plastic. TPE is renowned for its excellent wear resistance. Over long-term use, the wheel sheath of a TPE caster is less susceptible to wear, maintaining its excellent appearance and performance.

Furthermore, the wear resistance of TPE can be further improved by adjusting the formulation, such as by adding lubricants and fillers.

While rubber casters also have a certain degree of wear resistance, they may crack or deform due to aging over time, affecting their wear resistance.

Finally, the wear resistance of ordinary rubber casters is generally weaker than that of TPE casters. However, there are many types of rubber, and specially formulated and modified rubbers can approach or even reach the level of TPE in terms of wear resistance, though these rubber casters may be more expensive.
