1. PU (Polyurethane) Casters: The "All-Around Choice" for Carpet Use
PU material combines "soft conformability" with "wear and tangle resistance," making it the most widely compatible type of carpet and particularly suitable for high-use scenarios like homes and offices.

 

Key Advantages:
Easy Rolling and No Stuttering: The PU wheel body has a moderate hardness (Shore A 70-85 degrees). It won't dig into carpet crevices like hard plastic wheels, nor will it cause excessive friction and difficulty like pure rubber wheels. It rolls smoothly on both short-pile and medium-pile carpets.

 

Anti-Snagging + Carpet Protection: The PU wheel surface is smooth and burr-free, preventing it from snagging carpet fibers (preventing pilling or stringing). The wheel body also has a slight elasticity that distributes pressure, preventing noticeable marks from long-term use.

 

Quiet Compatibility: The PU material has a built-in shock-absorbing effect, resulting in low rolling noise (≤40 decibels), suitable for offices, study rooms, and other spaces requiring a quiet environment. It pairs well with office chairs and mobile bookshelves for an excellent experience.

2. Rubber Casters (including Neoprene): Ideal for Anti-Sinking on Long-Pile/Thick-Pile Carpets
Rubber (especially Neoprene) offers greater elasticity and a wider wheel body, effectively addressing the "easy sinking" issue on long-pile and thick-pile carpets and is suitable for applications requiring low rolling resistance.
