TPE casters offer the following significant advantages over nylon casters:
Better noise reduction: TPE's relatively flexible molecular chain structure results in a low coefficient of friction when in contact with the floor, making it virtually silent. Nylon casters, on the other hand, can produce a louder noise due to friction when rolling, especially in quiet environments, where the noise is more noticeable.
Better floor protection: The high elasticity and softness of TPE casters reduce friction and scratches when in contact with the floor, effectively protecting the integrity and aesthetics of floors, whether wooden, tiled, or marble. Nylon casters have a relatively hard surface and a low coefficient of friction, making them more susceptible to scratching during movement, especially on smooth surfaces.
Better environmental performance: TPE is manufactured without the addition of phthalate plasticizers and toxic cross-linking agents such as sulfur and DCP, making it a completely non-toxic material that meets environmental standards. While nylon itself is non-toxic, some environmentally friendly additives may be used during its production.
Strong Shock Absorption: TPE offers excellent shock absorption, effectively protecting equipment and cargo from vibration during movement while also reducing impact forces on the ground. Nylon casters, on the other hand, offer relatively poor shock absorption, limiting their ability to protect equipment and cargo on uneven surfaces or when subjected to significant impact.
Diverse Designs: TPE casters come in a variety of colors, blending seamlessly with various home and office styles, offering both aesthetic appeal and decorative appeal. Nylon casters tend to be more limited in color, typically in black or gray.
