1. Check the parameter markings

Authentic products typically include a safety factor of 1.2–1.5 times the rated load. If not specified, it is recommended to estimate the safe load at 80% of the stated value.

 

2. Check the structural design

Pure PU wheels (without an inner core) have a low load-bearing capacity (≤100kg) and are only suitable for light loads.

Composite wheels (PU-coated inner core) are the mainstream:

Nylon inner core: 100–300kg per wheel, suitable for medium-duty equipment;

Steel/cast iron inner core: 300–500kg per wheel, suitable for heavy-duty applications.

Wheel diameter/width must match the load: For heavy loads (≥300kg), a wheel diameter ≥100mm and a wheel width ≥30mm are recommended.

 

3. Simple Test

Static Loading: Apply 80% of the rated load and let it sit for 24 hours. The wheel should deform ≤2mm and show no cracking.

Pressing the Wheel: High-quality wheels should be rigid and not dent or loosen when pressed.

Rolling Test: Roll over uneven surfaces under load and ensure no unusual noise, cracks, or bracket shake.

 

4. Workmanship Inspection

Bracket: Thickness ≥3mm (medium load) or ≥4mm (heavy load), with secure welding and no leaks.

Bearings: Double-sealed needle roller or ball bearings are preferred for smooth rotation and no wobble.

Screws: High-strength material (such as carbon steel) and matching specifications should be used without stripping.

 

5. Brand Verification and Certification
Prefer professional brands (such as Colson and Tente). Request a load-bearing test report (e.g., ISO standards) to avoid the risk of false labeling by unknown manufacturers.
