Iron Core PU Wheel Cleaning and Maintenance Guide
I. Daily Cleaning
Basic Cleaning (Daily/Weekly): Use a soft-bristled brush to remove dust and debris (especially sharp objects) from the wheel surface and crevices. Wipe away grease with a cloth dampened in a neutral detergent (soapy water). Wipe again with clean water and thoroughly dry to prevent rust.
Deep Cleaning (Monthly/Quarterly): Pre-treat stubborn grease with a small amount of alcohol or a mild industrial oil cleaner. After cleaning, use a high-pressure air gun or a fine-bristled brush to remove impurities from the bearing crevices.
II. Regular Maintenance
Wheel Tread Inspection (Weekly): Inspect the PU wheel tread for cracks, scratches, bulges, or debonding. Clean minor scratches; replace immediately if there are deep scratches (exposing the iron core) or debonding.
Lubrication (Monthly/Every Two Months): After cleaning the bearings, apply lithium-based grease or specialized bearing oil to the crevices/grease hole. Rotate the wheel and wipe off any excess grease.
Rust Prevention (Quarterly): Check the wheel frame's anti-rust paint, remove rust and repaint damaged areas. In humid environments, thoroughly dry the wheel frame. Apply anti-rust oil to the wheel frame if necessary (avoid the PU wheel surface).
Tightening Inspection (Monthly): Check and tighten the mounting screws and nuts. Ensure the wheel rotates freely. If the wheel is stuck, clean the bearing or replace it.
III. Special Scenarios
Food Processing: Disinfect the wheel frame and wheel surface with food-grade detergent and 75% alcohol.
Outdoor/Wet: Dry the wheel frame promptly. Waterproof washers can be added to the wheel frame joints for enhanced quarterly rust prevention.
Heavy Load: Overloads (e.g., 500 kg) are strictly prohibited. Regularly inspect the wheel surface for dents and deformation.
IV. Maintenance Taboos
Do not directly apply high-pressure water to the bearings.
Do not scrub the PU wheel surface with steel wool or a hard brush.
Do not allow contact with strong acids, strong bases, or solvents (such as gasoline and thinners).
Following the above steps can significantly extend the life of the iron-core PU wheel and ensure safe and smooth operation.
